Ph.D. Student
Avi is a graduate student in the David Rockefeller Graduate Program. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Biology, where he studied mitochondrial organization in the Drosophila visual system. In the Cohen lab, Avi is interested in the molecular basis of brain-adipose communication and how subcellular programs within adipocytes contribute to this broader signaling axis. Outside the lab, you can usually find Avi running, visiting a museum, or exploring coffee shops around New York City.
